PDX FOOTBALL ACADEMY
PDX Football Academy has been designed to be a development platform for soccer players to reach their individual goals. Each player is unique and has a different motivation and goals. OUR goal has been to create an environment that teaches soccer in a much more game-like scenario. The approach comes from our roots and is very European-based. Individual touches and skills are great for players to work on by themselves but we believe that exposure to game-like situations will be what ultimately improves players for game day. The game is always the greatest teacher closely followed by competition. Our vision is focused primarily on letting the beautiful game be the platform for player development.
The Why?
Throughout the past few years, we have discussed the need for something like this. Over time that turned into a vision of how we want to do something that is not currently in the Oregon soccer market. Something different, something that we believe is missing, and something necessary. We want to give players a slightly different insight into the game, access to more resources to inspire them to improve within the game, and hopefully provide each player with additional support to what they are already receiving in their club soccer environment.
We realize that there are several places for players to work on their game outside of the club environment. While many of them are great we feel that the PDX Football Academy will consistently give players game-like situations within a culture of higher performance.

Having known each other and worked for 15 years in soccer education it became apparent that not only do we share similar views on the game but we actually both have a strong opinion on what players need. It’s exciting that we have the same passion and vision which makes this exactly what it should be…. fun!
